Assistant Service Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager located in our Leesport Branch. The Assistant Service Manager will oversee and provide support to the service coordinators and technicians. In addition, this individual will work with customers to resolve service-related inquiries or concerns.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Evaluate customer work orders
Quotes, determine the scope of work and deliver a quote for in-shop or road services rendered, maintain quote log.
Support the Service Coordinators in processing work orders, dispatching technicians and serve as a knowledgeable resource throughout their tenure.
Assign technicians to assist on-site employees who require additional assistance or supervision.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing jobs in-house, including scheduling service and arranging for transportation.
Audit labor reports against payroll data to ensure accuracy of services rendered by technicians.
Provide basic technical support regarding parts required, work order inquiries, or mobile tablet issues.
Monitor the maintenance of fleet vehicles and ensure appropriate supplies are available for vehicle upkeep, track vehicle mileage and ensure vehicles are inspected in a timely fashion.
Order and issue all technician uniforms.
Responds to customer concerns regarding invoices for services rendered.
Manage employee reviews and administer employee coaching or disciplinary action.
Review warranty claims for accuracy and ensure warrantable claims provide comprehensive information prior to submission.
Assist the Service Manager as needed on miscellaneous tasks and projects.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License- required
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Excellent oral/written communication skills, including well-developed presentation skills
Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions. Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; strong proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
High school diploma or its equivalent
2 years of related experience and/or training
