Service Trainer
Lift has an exciting opportunity for a Service Trainer to join our team! The Service Trainer is responsible for providing hands on instruction and training to new hires and current technicians at our four locations in Mountville, Carlisle, Leesport and Williamsport. This position requires complete knowledge and expertise in the following areas: Advanced Electrical Troubleshooting, Advanced Hydraulic Troubleshooting, Advanced Engine diagnostics including gasoline, LPG, and diesel engines. Computer software installation skills and an understanding of how to troubleshoot all lift equipment software communication problems, and the capability to assist technicians over the phone.
Essential Job Functions:
Conduct weekly New Hire training including safety, PIT and Forklift certification
- Class preparation: availability of equipment, training materials and handouts
Conduct weekly trainings at branch locations for current technicians
- Class preparation: update and load manufacturers software to technicians’ computers
Update and develop new training as required
Maintain and track accurate training records for Lift, Inc. and Crown and Toyota portal
Provide support for the Service and Parts department
Provide service support at customer locations as needed
Provide reports as needed
May assist in set up of new equipment at customer location
Maintain personal Factory Training Certifications
CDL Driver Training/ Safety
Maintain FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) logs and disseminate driver information
Technician Tablet training
Technician Crown info-link training
Technician Automation and Conveyor training
Technician Aerial training
Dock and Door repair training
Basic Qualifications:
Three (3) or more years of experience in Electrical, Hydraulic, Engine diagnostics (gas, LPG, diesel), forklift computer software.
Must be over the age of 18
High school diploma or equivalent
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
Five (5) or more years of experience and have achieved expert level in Electrical, Hydraulic, Engine diagnostics (gas, LPG, diesel), forklift computer software.
Strong organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills.
Display a positive and friendly attitude toward customers and fellow team members.
Ability to work independently or a part of a team on a variety of job tasks.
Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
